swiss burger pie

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
2/3 cup quick or old fashioned oats
1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
1 egg
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 can (16oz) sauerkraut, drained
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
1 1/2 tsp caraway seeds (optional)

Cooking Procedures

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine first seven ingredients; mix well. Press onto bottom and sides of 9 inch pie plate. Bake about 15 minutes; drain. Combine sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and caraway seeds. Mix well and spoon into partially baked meat pie shell. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted. When firm, cut into wedges.

Remove from stove and when partially cooled, add pineapple, mixing thoroughly. Mrs. E. B. Welch. RICE AND STRAWBERRY PUDDING 24 cup of rice, cooked and seasoned. 2 tblsp. butter substitute. 2 cups fresh strawberries or other fruit. 1 cup sugar. White of 1 egg. Cream butter and sugar.
