Recipe Ingredients1/2 head red cabbage1/2 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp red wine vinegar 3 tbsp sugar 2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp black pepper 3/4 tsp onion powder Cooking ProceduresShred cabbage so that it is irregular, with some finely shredded and some coarsely shredded, into a bowl. Add oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, seasoned salt, pepper and onion powder; mix well.Allow to stand several hours or preferably overnight (refrigerated) to allow the flavors to mellow and the slaw achieves a deep red color |
